Big
Bear Mountain, California - At Big Bear Mountain
many boarders will find themselves ending up at the terrain
park. This place has over 150 jumps for them to get the
ultimate experience. You can find southern California’s
only super pipe. It doesn’t have its own lodging but
you can stay in a hotel, motel, rental house, or condo that
is still in walking distance to the resort. The snow is
usually pretty fluffy and clean. They have a big vertical
drop so you should be able to get a lot of skiing in, in
one day.
Located in the San Bernardino National
Forest east of Los Angeles, Big Bear Mountain rises to surprisingly
high 8,800 feet above sea level. Less surprisingly, this
is the highest lift-served ski area in Southern California,
which means that snow cover is more likely to last than
elsewhere in the southland.
